New health problems can't stop, won't stop
On top of my numerous chronic health issues, I've had some kind of illness or injury for most of this year so far. The most recent was sudden blurry vision so I couldn't read and it was difficult to see generally. Thankful for visual accessibility settings on my tech so I could still use my phone and PC once they were set up. The magnification tools also helped me continue to play my current favorite game, Reverse 1999, which has been a great distraction and has saved my sanity. It's such a relief that my eyesight is nearly back to normal now after a few days of struggle.
Other issues I've been dealing with:
- A large amount of stool burden causing abdominal pain that required magnesium citrate (colonoscopy prep stuff) to treat it.
- The ER doctor while getting that checked out was extremely rude which caused a panic attack.
- The ER failed to tell me about a liver lesion. Another one of my doctors spotted it and requested a follow-up MRI.
- A hand and arm infection from a degu bite while I was breaking up a scuffle between degu brothers.
- The infection was treated with the wrong antibiotic at first so the painful infection got worse until I went to urgent care in person and received the correct antibiotic.
- A mass was seen in my breast MRI which required an MRI assisted core biopsy to test for breast cancer. Results were benign thankfully!
- Very painfully subluxed my hip so that took some time to recover from.
- And more...
There are days where I'm so overwhelmed and fatigued that I'm not able to do much other than sleep and go to the toilet. I sometimes wish I were somebody else who doesn't have to be on two dozen meds and who isn't having all these issues.
On the flip side, I do have better, more joyful days as well where I can spend time laughing with my partner, play guitar or ukulele, distract with my video games, snuggle and play with my companion animals, admire my plants, feel strong at the gym, hike at our state parks, etc. Hoping to have as many joyful activities and experiences as I possibly can.
